Margin Guard Privacy Policy
1. Information Margin Guard collects
We collect information you and your authorized users provide, information created while using the product, and limited technical data needed to operate sign-in and hosting. We collect only what we need to run Margin Guard for your tenant.
2. Account and profile information
This includes owner email, names you store, roles (owner, seller, supervisor), device pairing records, passwords handled by our authentication provider, and subscription status we maintain after manual payment confirmation.
3. Business, project, and invoice data
This includes estimates, quotes, invoices, contacts, project records, operational plans, branding you upload, and similar business content you enter so the product can generate documents and track work.
4. Optional linked-bank balance data
If an owner chooses to connect a business bank account through Stripe Financial Connections, we may store and display balance-related information and connection status so we can show cash, runway, reserves, and related owner metrics. This connection is optional.
5. What Margin Guard does not collect from Financial Connections
Through the current Financial Connections path, Margin Guard does not receive your bank login credentials (username or password) and does not receive or expose full bank account or routing numbers. Current permissions are balances only. Margin Guard cannot use that path to debit accounts or move money.
6. How information is used
We use information to provide and maintain the service, authenticate users, show tenant-scoped records, calculate estimates and financial metrics, send operational messages you request (for example quote or invoice delivery you initiate), provide optional Support, detect abuse, and keep billing records of your annual subscription.
Margin Guard does not sell customer personal information.
7. AI / OpenAI boundary
If Support chat or similar assistance is enabled, questions and limited product context may be sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. That processing is for helping you use Margin Guard. It is not a request for OpenAI to train a public model on your behalf, and you should not paste secrets, bank credentials, or unnecessary personal data into Support. AI output can be wrong. It is not professional advice.
8. Service providers
We use vendors that process data on our instructions to host and operate Margin Guard, including Netlify (site and functions), Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe Financial Connections (optional bank balance linking), and OpenAI (optional Support). They receive only what is needed for their role.
9. Cookies and session authentication
We use cookies and similar storage for authenticated sessions (for example an owner session cookie after password sign-in, and device session cookies for paired seller or supervisor devices). These cookies are used to keep you signed in and to scope data to your tenant. We do not use them to sell advertising.
10. Security practices
We use industry-typical controls such as encrypted transport, server-side tenant scoping, and restricted database access for application servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We do not promise that unauthorized access can never occur.
11. Data retention
We keep tenant data while the account is active and for a commercially reasonable period afterward as needed for backups, security investigation, subscription records, and legal requirements. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it in the ordinary course of operations.
12. Access, correction, and deletion requests
The owner on the account may review and update much of the business data in the product. To request a copy, correction, or deletion of organization data we hold, email 3colorscorp@gmail.com from the owner email we have on file. We may need to verify the request and may decline or limit it where we must keep records for law, security, or an ongoing dispute.
13. California privacy contact
California residents who have questions about personal information related to a Margin Guard business account may contact us at the email above. This section is a contact path. It does not claim that a particular California privacy statute applies to Three Colors Corp or to your account.
14. Children’s privacy
Margin Guard is a commercial business service. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Policy. The current version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be reflected here; continued use after the effective date means you acknowledge the updated Policy.
